Bagpuss entertaining the children... ( and mum )
This next kitty mum met on a visit from her work last week. Mum meets lots of kitties and woofies when she visits people. this one mum said made her feel good. His name is Charlie and he was a rescue cat.. the elderly lady owner had owned him for five years, she told mum that Charlie was lovely but would never let anyone pick him up, and not let anyone stroke his neck or head. The lady though he could have been ill treated. Mum carried on doing her work, all the time talking nonsense to Charlie.. Mum then went up to him slowly and started stroking him.. He let her. Mum slowly worked her hands over him, stroking and talking all the time, she then sat back down and carried on talking. Mum finished what she was doing and then slowly went up to Charlie, she picked him up gently, he let her, she sat down with Charlie on her lap, he let her.. Mum was so pleased.. the lady cried and said she had never seen Charlie so calm and mum must have something.. Mum just was happy and thinks Charlie may be more approachable to the lady, as mum put him on the sofa next to her and he stayed...
